I’m sitting in Starbucks enjoying my cold green tea latte then imagining I’m now in Parijs Metro Subway sitting and listening to my iPod heading from La Defense to Hausmann for a meeting with one of my prosperous clients at Gallerie Lafayette. we would talk about the deal and concepting in me doing shoot for her/his famous boutique next two days. I stayed Parijs for a week.

I parked my VW Golf GTi in La Defense P4 parking garages, drove from Koln yesterday where I studied fine arts and been lived there for ten years with my lil super family; one cute forgetless baby girl and a wonderful super woman being my wife

Our life’s almost perfect a nice little house with an average-sized photo studio and workshops to support our passion in Fotografia, yes my wife’s photographer too.

we used to trip to Volendam seeing Netherland’s heritages or Zaanse Schan seeing the amazing craftworks of windmills or hike the Jungfrau mountain in Suisse together

or we prefer visiting Den Haag for a dinner in Fat Kee Chinese Restaurant, the best Chinese Resto in Europe to fulfill our appetite of chinese food. yum yumm. :p

those are my dreams

sopir ngambek, bokap ditinggalin di tengah jalan

lah, sopir baru brapa hari kerja udah ngambek bae.

ahaha.

about 10 minutes ago I called mom, she told me bokap ditinggalin ditengah jalan pulang karena sopir baru berinisial “S” ngambek karena ditegor bokap. jadinya doi nyetir sendiri

kenapa ditegor? karena doi males

males ngapain? males nyuci mobil dan emang orangnya sih kalo menurut gw nggak tanggap dan mau terima enak aja kali ya. gak mau kerja keras.

padahal menurut gw, bonyok dan gw+kakak gw udah baek banget ama yang namanya sopir, pembokat, dll. ya istilahnya kita tau kalo dia juga manusia pula. ada batesannya

tapi mana tanggung jawabnya? jawab sih gampang, tanggungnya itu loh? kena tanggung. ahaaaa….

well people, let’s change. jaman udah berubah. be stubborn and hardworking.

jangan jadi Mr. S yang lain! ahaha…

ps. cariin gw sopir dong 1 lagi, alamat gw sering jemput bonyok nih malemmingguan

well kalo belum nonton, NONTON DONG!

emang sih ceritanya mungkin agak surrealist alias mimpi gitu.

tapi dari sisi sinematografinya, mata lo akan termanjakan dengan scene – scene yang bombastis dan fantastis.

Googly Pictures Present: ‘The Fall’

Film ini disutradarai oleh Tarsem Singh, seorang India yang menurut gw sangatlah jenius!

Film dimulai dengan menampilkan slow motion dari scene kecelakaan Roy, seorang stuntman. Slow motion yang dikemas secara apik dan perfect secara angle photography nya.

Bercerita tentang seorang bocah cewek kecil imut bernama Alexandria yang sedang dirawat di sebuah RS biara di Los Angeles pada tahun 1920′an. Alexandria dirawat karena mengalami patah tulang lengan tangannya. suatu hari ketika dia main di bangsal orang dewasa, dia ketemu dengan Roy, seorang stuntman yang jatuh ke sungai dari kuda saat bikin stunt buat flickr (motion pictures/film bisu yang masih hitam putih).

Perkenalan Alexandria dengan Roy berlanjut dengan cerita – cerita dongeng yang dibawakan Roy yang padahal bertujuan untuk memperalat Alexandria.

Yang beda dari film ini adalah, seluruh cerita dongeng bohong-bohongannya Roy divisualisasikan!

dan juga ada scene – scene yang dibikin dengan teknik stop motion kayak di film2 nya Tim Burton dan Corpse Bride. COOL!

Film ini memakan waktu research lebih dari 10 tahun, 4 tahun shooting, dan mengambil lokasi di 18 negara (untuk visualisasi dongeng). wonder how is the budget! damn!

Props, penokohan, dan sinematografinya semuanya POL ABIS! sangat2 sempurna.

o ya, DOP nya bernama Colin Watkinson. SANGAT JENIUS karna angle angle yang unik dan sering juga simetris.

yang sangat gw sayangkan adalah, sedikit banget orang yang tau keberadaan film ini, mungkin karna ini film indie. dibuat dari tahun 2002-2006 tapi baru dirilis tahun 2008.

menurut gw, film ini adalah film yang harus lo tonton sebelum lo mati! sumpah! lo harus nonton!

dan yang mengagetkan lagi dari film ini adalah: judul ‘The Fall’ untuk film ini gak ada hubungannya dengan kejatuhan kerajaan atau seseorang yang digambarkan dalam dongeng di film ini.

gw mulai berpikir kalo semua orang ‘menjual’ hal hal bodoh yang dilakukannya mungkin nanti di Kurikulum Pendidikan Indonesia ada pelajaran baru namanya ‘Bagaimana-Untuk-Mengembangkan-SisiSarap-Anda’.

my new camera

hello!

currently I am working as a amateur-commercial photographer and still studying in STIKOM LSPR concentrating in Advertising Studies.

well I love living my life now. self income even it is not too big but it is very enough for me to buy my car’s gas every week :p

and oh, I got my Nikon D300 instead of D700 :pNikon D300 with MB-D10 BG

I got my D300 at Kotaraya Foto Video Pinangsia Plaza Jakarta, the primary Nikon Distributor Shop in Jakarta.

I got it for Rp. 15.100.000,- nett++ 3 months ago but nowadays the price is up to Rp. 16.000.000 :p lucky me!

D300 is still applying a cropped CMOS image sensor, but the color engine is exactly the same like D700 and even D3!

well i’m so happy and still surprised because of this camera monstrous abilities!

this camera brings out very dynamic contrast and shadow range, compared to my old Nikon D40X, D300 is very nice!

after saw news and thoughts about the Israeli soldiers attack on Gaza which is more than 800 people killed there, I started to think: ‘is it pure Israeli war or there is any other country’s purpose?’…

well whoever starts the war, he/she/they must bear the biggest sin parts in the world.
and be vanished to the deepest hell. amen.

finally I’m writing again after a while well-hibernated from blogging :p

well, i wanna talk about ‘RULES’ now,

who is among us who don’t know what ‘RULES‘?

im sure no one except the schizofrenian, the mental disorder persons and these rebellion freak-o-nuggets :p

let’s see what’s rule definition by OXFORD dictionary

rule

1. one of a set of explicit or understood regulations or principles governing conduct within a particular activity or sphere : the rules of the game were understood.

2.  a law or principle that operates within a particular sphere of knowledge, describing or prescribing what is possible or allowable : the rules of grammar.

4. control of or dominion over an area or people : the revolution brought an end to British rule.

5. ( the rule) the normal or customary state of things : such accidents are the exception rather than the rule.

well after see the definition of rule we should be clearly understood the purpose of the rules..

rules made for controlling, filtering, and punishing any violation against them

but what’s the current issues now?

RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN!

this quotation always made me laugh and realize that, yes we are rather breaking the rules than obeying it…

why?

because we always think rules are cutting down our rights and always forcing us to do our obligations

we couldn’t do whatever we want because da rulez sez no! LOL

but hey, take a closer look at the benefits of rules

rules are made to make us a better part of the civilizations NOT to be dumb and dumberer…

but yes we think, i think, and other people think…

rules is just rules at the end…

made to be broken and to be replaced with the other ‘better’ and manipulated rules.

so why we don’t give a try to ourselves making our own boundaries for good and for us to be better?

I wanna tell you about my experience being foolished by an Apple Store Indonesia in Mangga Dua Mall named Le Gallery

I felt so dumb that time that after I bought my macbook from that store 2 years ago, I planned to upgrade my mac RAM memory from the standard 1GHz to 2GHz in that store too at the same day …

it costed me about Rp. 2.000.000,-

at that time and after 2 years using, I just realized that I am foolished!

the real price for the upgrade was far lower.

I assume the price must be Rp. 950.000,- 2 yrs ago.

Today? CHEAPER THO!

When I upgrade my mac HDD from 80Gigs to 320Gigs and my best friend Titus upgraded his macbook’s RAM from 1Gig to 2Gigs.

this is where the story begin!

we pimped our mac at W&W Computer Gajah Mada Plaza (I recommend this store for mac upgrading and buy mac machine! call pak Wing Wiryawan > http://www.krazymarket.com/user_review.php?idu=wiryawan&lang=1).

my HD upgrade costs only Rp. 1.100.000,- for Fujitsu 320 Gigs HDD! damn cheap!

titus RAM upgrade costs ONLY Rp. 350.000,- for Transcend SO-DIMM PC 5300 2GB RAM!!

crap!

after i felt dumbed, days ago i called the Le Gallery apple store, asking prices for 2GB ram upgrade for Mac and they said it will cost Rp. 650.000,- holy crap!

DO NOT EVER BUY OR PIMP YOUR MAC AT LE GALLERY!

it’s enough for me to be fooled!
